Gloria R. Barrera

Our beloved mother, Gloria R. Barrera, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2019.

She was a devout Catholic who attended Ursuline Academy and was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a member of the Maemoc Social Club as well as an Auxiliary member of Mercy Hospital of Laredo and Laredo Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband: Joe. S. Barrera; parents: Manuel J and Lamar Rodriguez; and siblings: Lydia Cordero, Oscar Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, Norma Vasquez, Manuel J. Rodriguez, Sylvia Gongora, and Elsa Perez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jose Manuel Barrera, Lamar Gloria (Luis Villarreal), Cynthia L. Canales, David M Barrera, Dennis X. (Alma V.) Barrera, and Daniel R Barrera; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Reynaldo Rodriguez.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday evening, November 26, 2019 at 5 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 3018 Davis Ave., Laredo, Texas 78040.

Cremation Services will be held at a later date.
