Gloria V. Rios, 79, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alonso S. Rios; and her parents, Roberto J. and Isabel E. Vidaurri.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia R. Martinez, Lucia G. Rios; and her son Alonso S. (Diamantina) Rios, Jr.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Demaris A. Jones, Brianna I. Garza, Caleb A. Weaver, and Kyleigh Rios; along with other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday morning, July 22, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.

The funeral procession will depart the same day at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Alonso S. Rios, Jr., Mario Barrera, Lupe Ruiz, Alfonso Mario Rios, Jr., Gerardo Gomez, Anthony Mayers, Willie Vasquez, Ng, and Juan M. Molina.

Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Caleb A. Weaver and Ruben Rodriguez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Libre, CVA, AFP and Camino Real/ECI for their encouraging words and prayers.  And a special thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Mario Barrera.
