GLORIA M. PEREZ

September 28, 1934 – December 27, 2018

Gloria M. Perez 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Our beloved mother has gained her wings and is now resting in the presence of the Almighty Father in heaven alongside her extended family that preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband Amador Perez, Sr.; son Amaro Perez; grandson Angel Amaro (Sandra) Tovar, Sr.; great-grandson Angel Amaro Tovar, Jr.; her parents, Jose and Celia Botello and four siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Amador (San Juanita) Perez, Jr.; daughters, Irene (Alberto Sr.) Soto, Irma I. (Alfonso Jr.) Perez-Chapa; grandchildren, Felix Amador (Trisha) Perez, Jose Amaro Perez, Carlos Luis (Antoinette) Perez, Sonia (Craig) Weiser, Juan Esteban Saldivar, Erika (Ben) O’She, Alberto Soto, Jr., Gloria Iromy Soto, Francisco (Lizela) Tovar III, Dr. Julio Cesar (Jose Mendez, Jr.) Tovar, Maria de Jesus (Juan) Maldonado, Amanda Lizette (Jose Manuel, Jr.) Tovar-Lerma; 20 great-grandchildren, as well as by an extended number of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Luis Benavides, Kurt Cuellar & Staff, Divinas Manos Home Health & Staff, Amaro Gutierrez and family, Armando Villarreal and family, her caretaker, Norma Gonzalez, and all the other great caretakers for their utmost care and attention.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd., Laredo, TX 78041, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m by Deacon Crispin Soto.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1609 Glen St. Zapata, TX at 10:00 a.m. Those wishing to accompany the family are asked to meet at the church. There will be no procession from the funeral home.

A Cremation and Interment of the ashes will be held privately at a later date.
