With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Alicia Bravo Medina, who departed this life on November 27, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on April 13, 1947 in Laredo Texas, to the late James Edward Bravo and Ana Maria Casso. Gloria was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her unwavering love and commitment to her family and her community.
Mrs. Medina was a proud graduate of Zapata High School, class of 1966, where she graduated as valedictorian. Gloria then married the love of her life, Hector Manuel Medina Sr., on December 20, 1969. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She dedicated her adult life to her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel, care for her pets and spend time with family. In partnership with her son, Hector, she founded Med One Ambulance Service, a testament to her spirit of service and dedication to the welfare of others. Gloria was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she found solace and strength in her faith. She lived by example with her unwavering catholic faith. She enjoyed the simple things in life by going to the movie theatre, bingos, and her grandchildren’s events.
Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hector Manuel Medina Sr.; her parents, James Edward Bravo and Ana Maria Casso; as well as her beloved granddaughter, Alisha Lynn Solano, and grandson, Michael Joseph Flores.
Her enduring legacy will live on through her children: Hector Manuel (Patricia Garcia) Medina Jr., Monica (Rick) Solano, JoAnn (Jorge) Garcia Jr., Jorge Francisco (Leila) Medina, Debra (Chito) Garcia, David James Medina, and Ana Maria (Mariano Flores) Medina; grandchildren: Arissa (Federico) Munguia IV, Ashley Nicole Medina, Abigail Alyeen Medina, Amber Lynn Medina, Audrey Savannah Medina, RJ Solano, Janessa Yareli Solano, Isaac Ryan Solano, Jacob Jayden Solano, Dante Alberto Garcia, Noah Esteban Garcia, Nadia Isabel Garcia, Jorge Francisco Medina Jr., Kaylee Medina, Bryan Terrance Medina, Peter Andrew Garcia, Victor Manuel Garcia Jr., Natalie Lozano, Nathan Medina, and Evelyn Marie Flores; great-grandchildren, Briella Audrina Munguia, Ethan James Munguia, Zailey Mae Munguia, Mila Rae Munguia, and April Rose Medina; her siblings: Edward Espinoza, Jo Emma (Gilbert) Quezada, and James Edward Bravo.
The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, December 2, 2025 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
