Gerardo Ernesto Gonzalez, Jr., 39, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
He was born in Laredo, Texas and lived here his entire life. He was employed by Triple J. Logistics.
He loved being with his family and was the family prankster. He motivated his siblings and family. His favorite past times were watching boxing, UFC, listening to all genres of music, but especially 90’s music, carne asadas, and enjoyed eating at buffet restaurants. He loved dogs, especially his pit-bull Rocco.
His favorite quote was by Mark Twain, “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gerardo Oscar Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kayla Marie Gonzalez, Jeremey Jadon Gonzalez and their mother Pamela Elizondo; and Jacob Justin Gonzalez and his mother Stacy Rogerio. He is also survived by his mother Ida Ann (Ricardo Javier) Arredondo, Sr.; father Gerardo Ernesto (Yolanda) Gonzalez, Sr.; sisters, Crystal Ann Gonzalez, Ashley Ann Gonzalez; step brothers, Ricardo J. Arredondo, Jr., Christopher Ryan (Lindsay) Arredondo, and Michael Edward (Douglas) Havron; nieces and nephews, Victoria Celeste Camero, William Alexander Gomez, Emerson Rose Havron, Lincoln Rose Havron; paternal grandmother Odelia Gonzalez; maternal grandparents, Lorenzo (Margaret) Gonzalez, Jr.; aunt Sandra Edith (Rick) Nieto; uncles, Lorenzo (Cristina) Gonzalez III, Ronald Lee (Angela) Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez, Luis Carlos Gonzalez, and Rene (Sheri) Gonzalez; along with numerous cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday evening, September 17, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a prayer service will be celebrated by Pastor Dorso Maciel at 6:30 p.m.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to his dear friend J. Habib Avila for being there when he most needed a friend.
