Gabriel Ibarra, Jr. 68, a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2011.
Gabriel was born and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.-He served in the United States Armed Forces from 1963 to 1966.-Gabriel moved to Laredo when he married Antonia Orfila in 1966.-He worked at the downtown United States Postal Service until his retirement in 2003.-He was a devoted family man. His wife, son, daughter and grandchildren were his pride and joy.-He was a caring caregiver to his wife, Antonia, who passed away on October 5, 2010.-
Gabriel was preceded in death by his wife, Antonia O. Ibarra, parents, Gabriel and Dolores Ibarra, and parents in-law, James and Estela Orfila.-
He is survived by his son, Gabriel (Yanira) Ibarra III, daughter, Stella Ibarra, grandchildren:-Gabriel, Desirae and Devin Ibarra, Kadence Villarreal and Jaden Hernandez, sisters from Los Angeles, California, Isabel Arroyo, Marie (Joe) Pimentel, and Aurelia (Manuel) Yanez, brothers and sisters-in-law, Angela (Mario) Casares, Alicia (Peter) Farias, Estela Guerra, James (Alicia) Orfila and John (Laura) Orfila.-He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.-
