With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ricardo Tenorio, Sr., a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on September 26, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Laredo, Texas. Born on February 3, 1943, Ricardo lived a life dedicated to service, community and family, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him. Ricardo's journey began in Laredo, where he first made his mark as one of the community's pioneering barbers. His skill and dedication to his craft were only rivaled by his compassion for others. Following his entrepreneurial spirit, he transitioned to a successful career as a bail bondsman, serving the community for 25 years with integrity and understanding. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ricardo was deeply involved in civic matters, advocating for the rights and welfare of the community through his active participation in the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 12 for over 35 years. His commitment to social justice and political advocacy highlighted his enduring belief in supporting and uplifting those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo and Aurora Tenorio Jr.; and his son, Ricky Tenorio, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Magda (James) Borrego, Deborah (Marlon) Paredes, Joanna (Glenn) Valdez; grandchildren, Samantha (Joe Alberto) Flores, Joanna Amaya, Glenn Anthony Valdez, Alisa (Simon) Lew, Aaron Borrego, Gianna Paredes, Anali Paredes, Nathan Paredes, Jacqueline (Chris) Rosa; great-grandchildren, Elijah Flores, Emma Flores, Liliana Rosa and Evan Rosa. He is also survived by his siblings, Rodolfo (Elida †) Tenorio, Rosario (Johnny †) Walker, Juan (Josie) Tenorio, Gloria Tenorio, Gilberto (Alejandra †) Tenorio, Aurora (Martin †) Ybarra, Jorge (Maria) Tenorio, Mario (Laura) Tenorio, and Ruben (Thelma) Tenorio; along with other loving relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd..; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7:00 p.m.
