ESTANISLADO “STANLEY” JIMENEZ

August 22, 1934 – February 2, 2025

On a peaceful February day in 2025, Estanislado “Stanley” Jimenez—a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, uncle, brother, and friend—passed away at the age of 90. He now rejoices in heaven, reunited with his cherished wife, Lucia “Lucy” Herrera Jimenez, and their beloved sons, Michael, Javier, and Arturo, who went before him.

If you had the privilege of knowing Stanley, you were undoubtedly touched by his boundless love, warmth, and kindness. He was a true friend to all—a man who couldn’t hurt a fly, much less another human being. If he had only a single penny to his name, he’d gladly give it to someone he believed needed it more—because, in his eyes, others always came first.

Born on August 22, 1934, in Laredo, Texas, to Perfecto and Josefa Jimenez, Stanley spent his early years in South Texas before finding his path in downtown Laredo. He began working at Sulak’s Men’s Store, where his passion for helping others and his impeccable eye for style made him a beloved local icon.

For decades, customers came to Sulak’s not just to buy a suit—but specifically for Stanley’s assistance. Many of these customers became lifelong friends. His name became synonymous with the store itself, and for many, a visit to Sulak’s wasn’t complete unless Stanley was there.

It was on that very sidewalk outside Sulak’s that he first laid eyes on a young woman walking to work—Lucia Herrera. After a few exchanged smiles, Stanley mustered the courage to introduce himself. From that moment forward, their love story began. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love, resilience, and devotion. Their bond brought six children into the world and shaped a family built on faith and strength.

Stanley is survived by his children: Belinda, Rolando, and David Jimenez; daughters-in-law Heather & Erika Jimenez; his six grandchildren: Evie, Zoe, Victoria, and Xavier Jimenez, Taylor and Krystal Hagemeister; and great-granddaughter Raeya Hagemeister.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lucia, his parents Perfecto and Josefa Jimenez, his sister Elia Molina, and his sons Michael, Javier, and Arturo Jimenez.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 1718 San Jorge Ave, Laredo, TX 78040, to honor the life of Mr. Jimenez. Burial for both Stanley and Lucia Jimenez will follow immediately after the service.
