Esperanza Martinez

Esperanza Martinez, 75, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 28, 2013. Esperanza is preceded in death by her parents: Pedro and Celestina Pia Vasquez; children: Juan Jesus Martinez, Maria Guadalupe (Joel) Salazar, Graciela Serna; siblings: Alejandro Vasquez, Maria Vasquez, Pedro Vasquez, Emelia Vasquez, and Evangelina Villarreal. She is survived by her husband: Jesus C. Martinez; daughter: Melissa Martinez; granddaughter: Erica Salinas; sister: Carmen (Antonio) Sanchez; daughter-in-law: Claudia Martinez; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel, 719 Loring @ Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Procession will depart at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
