Mrs. Ernestina Barrera, 71, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Gilberto Gaona; as well as by her brothers, Benjamin and Dionisio Gaona.

Left behind to cherish her memory her children: Gilberto (Ana) Barrera Jr., Araceli (Erik Coronado) Barrera, Juan Pablo (Gloria) Barrera; grandchildren, Melanie Barrera, Gilberto Barrera III, Briana Barrera, Giovanni Barrera, Isai Barrera, Sophia Coronado, Eric Coronado, Emily Barrera, Jocelyn Barrera, Sophia Garcia; siblings, Sylvia († Ramon) Costilla, Estela (Roberto) Alvarez, Rodrigo (Adelina) Gaona, Maria Luisa († Benito) Perez, Martin Gaona, Pedro († Petra) Gaona, Cristobal Gaona, Francisca Gaona; and her sister in law, Beatriz Gaona; as well as by an extended number of friends and relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday the 10th of February 2017 beginning at 5 in the afternoon and ending promptly at 9. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral procession will form the morning of Saturday the 11th of February 2017 departing the funeral chapel at 8:15 in the morning to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in the morning.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
