Emma R. Salazar

Our beloved mother, Emma R. Salazar, 88, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Laredo, Texas.

She was born at El Recuerdo Ranch in Zapata County on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1933. Emma was loved by so many, even though she’s gone now, we know that her legacy will continue to live on in all of us.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Judge Jesus F. Salazar; and her daughter, Susana Bustos (Fernando).

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Abel Salazar (Myriam O.), Jesus F. Salazar, Jr., Leticia Castro (Paul), and Jose Salazar (Suzi); grandchildren whom she adored, Daniel Peña, Richard Peña, Monica Mireles, Abel Salazar, Jr., Alejandro Salazar, Jaaziel Salazar, Sofia Salazar, Yevette Castro, Yienell Castro, Yazmin Castro, Veronica Gutierrez, Jose Jr., Jesus David Salazar, Joshua Salazar, and Joselynn Salazar; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous other loved relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday morning, February 02, 2022 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Chapel Service will commence at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at the family plot of the Cemetery.
