Elsa A. Garcia

November 3, 1956 — February 6, 2026

Laredo, Texas

With deep love, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved Elsa Ann Garcia, who has gone home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2026. Elsa was a beacon of kindness and love, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was loving, caring, thoughtful, and beautiful in every sense of the word. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived a life full of faith, generosity, and joy. She truly had a heart of gold, and anyone who knew her felt it.

Elsa’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished time together; game nights full of laughter, long conversations, shared meals, and simple moments that became lasting memories. She also loved spending time with her closest friends, sharing laughter and creating joyful moments. To so many, she was a second mom, offering love, guidance, and comfort freely. She made everyone feel safe, valued, and deeply loved.

She found happiness in sewing, gardening, traveling, camping, antique cars and racing, enjoying the outdoors, and cherishing moments on her family ranch. Her gentle words, warm smile, and quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She leaves behind her beloved children, daughter Lisa Rodriguez and son Bobby Rodriguez II, who were the pride of her life. She was a devoted grandmother to Liabette and Edgar Escamilla and a deeply cherished great-grandmother to Leon Escamilla. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Ashly and Max Espinoza and her step-grandchildren Tristan, Brielle, and Daxton, each of whom she loved as her own.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Linda Villarreal, and brother-in-law Victor Villarreal, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Elia Pruneda, and shared a lifelong bond with the father of her children, Bobby Rodriguez. She is also fondly remembered by the Rodriguez family, who always welcomed her and cherished her as part of their lives.

Elsa’s legacy is defined by the love she shared freely, the compassion she showed deeply, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort knowing she rests in the arms of the Lord she loved so dearly. She will be missed beyond words, yet remembered in our hearts every day, until we are reunited.

“Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John 11:25-26 NLT
