Eligio Gonzalez

Mr. Eligio Gonzalez, 69, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Eligio was born December 13, 1952 in Manzanillo, Colima to Cecilio and Guillermina Gonzalez. Eligio loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren and family.

Eligio was not only a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, but placed his heart and soul to achieve the American dream. His hard work first started by being an avid handyman and then became master of his true passion, which was electrical engineering. He received his Master Electrician License and his hard work and experience led him to obtain his Electrical Contractor License. His past times included reading the bible and tending to his love for horticulture. He was a very giving person and would give his last dollar if anyone needed his help.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecilio Gonzalez Gomez, his mother Guillermina Gomez Cardenas, and brother Tomas Gonzalez Gomez.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna Maria Gonzalez, their two daughters Vanessa and Roxanna, numerous grandchildren, and his sisters.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday morning, August 5, 2022, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the deceased and Rosary will commence at 10:00 a.m.

The funeral procession will then depart on the same day from the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
