Elida "Lali" Garcia

Elida Garcia, 90, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, December 29, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio Garcia and Maria Medina; her brothers, Ignacio Garcia Jr. and Francisco Garcia; and her sisters-in-law, Gloria D. Garcia and Yolanda Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her niece, Diana L. Garcia; her nephews, Eliberto Garcia, Sergio E. Garcia, and Gerardo R. (Helen) Garcia; her grandnephews, Jorge Richer Jr. and Matthew H. Garcia; her lifelong friend of 66 years, Magdalena Benavides; her partner: Ana Saenz; and her fur-babies, Ivy, Rocky, Sasha, Gia, Carrie and Miri; as well as other relatives and many friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday morning, January 15, 2026 from 9 am to 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez, where a rosary will be recited at 10 am.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday morning, January 15, 2026 departing at 10:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
