Elida "Lali" Garcia

Elida Garcia, 90, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, December 29, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio Garcia and Maria Medina; her brothers, Ignacio Garcia Jr. and Francisco Garcia; and her sisters-in-law, Gloria D. Garcia and Yolanda Garcia.

Left to cherish her memory are her niece, Diana L. Garcia; her nephews, Eliberto Garcia, Sergio E. Garcia, and Gerardo R. (Helen) Garcia; her grandnephews, Jorge Richer Jr. and Matthew H. Garcia; her lifelong friend of 66 years, Magdalena Benavides; her partner, Ana Saenz; and her fur-babies, Ivy and Rocky; as well as other relatives and many friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, January 11, 2026 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday morning, January 12, 2026 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
