Dr. Gomez-Rejon

Julio Cesar Gomez Rejon, M.D., well respected psychiatrist and humanitarian entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the age of 82.

Dr. Gomez Rejon was a lifelong resident of Laredo who shared an ardent interest in his family and his profession. He had a veracious zest for life and always lived it to the fullest, treasuring moments spent with family and friends. Julio had a true understanding of the human condition and gave of himself wholeheartedly; his compassionate and altruistic nature made him an outstanding father, grandfather, husband, physician, and philanthropist. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ermilo and Josefa Gomez Rejon; brother Ermilo Gomez Rejon; and his former wife Pilar Gomez Gomez.

He is survived by his wife Betty Gomez Rejon; beloved children Julio Cesar Gomez Rejon, Mayte Gomez Rejon, and Alfonso Gomez Rejon; adored grandson Bruno Gomez Rejon; siblings Raul (Licha) Gomez Rejon, Elsa Noemi Gomez Rejon and Gladys (Rosendo) Martinez; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
