David Rivera

David Arman Rivera, 21, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at home in Laredo, Texas.

David was a beautiful soul, both inside and out. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas who proudly represented Newman Elementary, Clark Middle and Alexander High School proudly each and every day. He is a consummate example of how a student athlete should act on and off the field. He was a dual enrolled student at both Laredo College and AHS. His plans were to graduate from college and enroll in the United States Airforce and study to be a Medical Doctor.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pedro and Rosa Maria De Alba; maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Margarita Rivera; and cousin, Omar Jatib.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, David D. and Susan Rivera; sisters, Valeria and Carolina Rivera; paternal uncles and aunts, Duane (Maria Luisa) Rivera, Joe (Madelenee) Cruz, James Rivera, and Patricia Estrada; maternal uncles and aunts, Rossana (Javier) Lucio, Lourdes De Alba, Emma ( Jose) Jatib, Sandra (Daniel) Jaramillo, and Pedro (Nydia) De Alba. He is also survived by numerous cousins- Pete De Alba, Danna Alba, Dante De Alba, Daniel Jaramillo, Kassandra Jaramillo, Sofia Jatib, Daniel, Ricardo and Jose Lucio, Sammi, Hector and Alyssa Estrada, Krysta, Corey, Gil & Vanessa Rivera and other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, February 5, 2021 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, February 6, 2021 departing at 9:15 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.

A Cremation will take place at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Pete De Alba Jr., Daniel Jaramillo Jr., Shawn Villarreal, Justin Pineda, Dylan Medrano & Matt Alfaro.
