David Cantu

Mr. David C. Cantu, Sr., 97, was called by his commander in Heaven on Saturday morning, March 17, 2012 with his family by his side.-David was a successful business owner of Gustavus Bar-B-Q for over 30 years before his retirement.-He proudly served the US Army and defended his country in World War II.-He was a loving and caring father who inspired his children, grandchildren and others with his positive and tireless attitude.-We thank God for his 97 years of love and the inspirational wisdom he gave us.

He is preceded in death by his wife:-Eufemia B. Cantu; son, Alfredo Cantu; daughter, Guadalupe Cantu; sisters, Concepcion Rodriguez, Andrea Perez, Melchora Perez and brothers Juan F. Cantu and Juan de Dios Cantu.

He is survived by his daughter and son:-Diana Cantu and David J. (Laura) Cantu Sr.; his brother Tomas Cantu as well as his adored grandchildren:-Jose Casarez, III, Diana Laura Casarez, David J. (Rosa) Cantu, Jr., Alfredo (Monica) Cantu, Humberto Cantu, Jorge (Leticia) Cantu and Barbra (Steve) Zurita in addition to numerous great-grandchildren, other loved relatives and friends.
