It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Armando Villarreal, who departed this life peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on February 13, 1937, Armando was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose love and legacy will endure through the lives he touched.
Armando was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Villarreal, and by his parents, Agapito and Adelfa Villarreal.
Armando is survived by his children, Rosaura (Jesus) Garza, Armando Villarreal, Jr., Mario (MaryGrace) Villarreal, Fernando R. Villarreal, Yolanda Villarreal, Victor M. Villarreal, Juan A. (Jacqueline) Villarreal, and Jorge Villarreal. He is remembered fondly by his 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit and values. He is also survived by his half-brother, Javier (Rosa Elias) Gomez and by brothers and sisters-in-law, Irene (Cruz) Rodriguez, Miguel (Carmen) Castilla, Primo (Consuelo) Castilla, Juan Castilla, Javier (Lilia) Castilla and Manuela (Juan) Lopez. Also survived by numerous, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and many friends. The family will be receiving condolences Saturday evening, November 29, 2025 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.
Cremation will be held at a later date.
