ARMANDO GUTIERREZ SR.

September 06, 1943- March 26, 2023

Armando Gutierrez Sr., 79, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, March 26, 2023. 

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Armando enjoyed the simple things in life.  He loved having family gatherings at his ranch, dancing the night away with mariachis, enjoying the laughter, and spending quality time with his loved ones.  He had a passion for ranching, enjoyed being outdoors, riding his tractor, & watching his horses in the open field.  

A native of Laredo, Armando was an alumni from Martin High School.  He was employed by the City of Laredo, Laredo International Airport, as a field supervisor for 44 years.   

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Fanny Margoth Ruiz Ruiz and daughter Perla Esmeralda Suazo; the mother of his children Porfiria B. Gutierrez; his children, Patricia Grace (Rueben) Martinez, Diana Darlene (Esteban) Sanchez, Armando (Terri Sue) Gutierrez, Jr., and Leonardo David (Herlinda) Gutierrez; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dr. Priscilla L. Gutierrez, Elizabeth Lopez, and Leonardo Gutierrez, Jr.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Leonardo Gutierrez and Guadalupe Soto Gutierrez; as well as by his siblings, Jesus David Gutierrez, Guadalupe Solis, and Carlos Gutierrez.

Armando was loved and respected by many and will be truly missed. 

A celebration of Armando’s life will be held on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
