Apolonio Avalos, age 81, of Laredo, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2022 in Chicago, IL.

He was a beloved husband of Juanita Cantu Avalos, loving father of Norma (Sotero), Linda (Javier), Apolonio B. (Guadalupe), Esmerelda (Jose) and Gladys, cherished grandfather of Patricia (Leonel) Villa, Martin (Alex) Cardenas, Sotero Jr. Barraza, Fernando Barraza, Jacinto (Martha) Carrillo, Elizet (Hernan) Muniz, Moises (Evelyn) Solano, Jose Ponce, Armani Ponce, Adonis (Karina) Ponce, Adrian (Karen) Ponce, Andrew Ponce, David (Diana) Tamez, Stephanie Tamez, Chriselle Garza, Christopher Jr. Garza, Christian Garza, Chris Garza, and great-grandfather of 15.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, March 24, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, March 25, 2022 departing at 8:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jacinto, Martin, Moises, Armani, Sotero, Fernando, Christopher, Christian.
