Amador "Mayito" Perez
January 13, 1928 – September 12, 2025
Amador "Mayito" Perez, 97 entered into eternal rest on September 12, 2025 with family by his side.
Amador also known as Mayito was born and raised in Laredo, Tx. He was a devoted family man who built his life on hard work and strong values. He spent his early years working in the fields before moving into construction. His final years of work were with Leyendecker Paving Company where he was known for his great work ethic.
After retirement, Mayito found joy in tending to his garden. He will be remembered for his resilience, wittiness, discipline and the deep love he held for his family. He led an exemplary life and was blessed to be married to Sara, the love of his life & mother of his children for 60 years. His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the generations he guided and inspired.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Perez; his parents, Agapito Perez and María del Refugio Vichareli; as well as his brothers and sisters: José Reynaldo, Consuelo, Ramiro, Jesús, and Salvador.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy and his memory will be cherished by his children: Juanita Medina, Amador (Irma) Perez, Diana Perez, Ernesto A. (Araceli) Perez, Rosalinda (†Greg) Cline, Rubén (Teresa) Perez, and Ricardo Perez; his grandchildren: Anabelle, Alejandro, Christian, Melissa, Laura, Ricardo, Ernesto Jr., Linda, Sergio, Greg Jr., Rubén Jr., Samantha, Anthony, Sarai, and Lianna; his great-grandchildren: Kimberly, Penelope, Miles, Raphael, Zarah, Jacob, Matthew, Luke, and Annamaria; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2025 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday morning, September 18, 2025 departing at 9 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Agustin Cathedral for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Amador Perez Jr., Ernesto Perez, Ruben Perez, Ricardo Perez, Ricardo Valdez, Ruben Perez Jr., Ernesto Perez Jr., and Sergio Perez.
