Alvaro Lopez, Jr., 37, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Alvaro was a light in this world. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin & friend. He will be greatly missed and eternally loved by all those who surrounded him.

He was preceded in death by: Father Alvaro Lopez Sr, Maternal Grandfather Valentin Garcia Sr, Paternal Grandparents Angel & Alicia Lopez Sr, Aunt Rosa B. Gonzalez, Uncles Humberto Garcia & Angel Lopez Jr, Cousins Yvette Gonzalez & Veronica Garcia.

Left to cherish his memory: Mother Graciela G. Lopez, Brother Ricardo “Ricky” Lopez & Grandmother Maria C. Garcia. Also surviving Mr. Lopez are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday evening, March 16, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning, March 17, 2022 departing at 8:50 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ricardo Lopez, Mario Garcia, Jr., Roberto Garcia, Eduardo Garcia, Homero Garcia, Jr., Omar Garcia, Juan Jose Abrego, and Roberto Lopez, Jr.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: All of the family and friends for all the condolences given by messages, phone calls and in person. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Jorge & Joe from United Med Care Ambulance Services & staff for always being there for him.
