Con el corazón lleno de amor y gratitud por su vida, despedimos a nuestro amado Alfredo Villarreal, quien partió a la Casa del Padre el 7 de agosto de 2026, a los 92 años. Nacido el 7 de enero de 1934, Alfredo fue un esposo ejemplar, un padre amoroso, un abuelo y bisabuelo entrañable, un hijo y hermano incondicional y un amigo leal.
Cariñosamente conocido como “Químico” o “Tito”, Alfredo conquistaba a todos con su corazón noble y su infinita bondad. Su serenidad, fuerza de espíritu y amor incondicional fueron un verdadero regalo para quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.
Su mayor alegría siempre fue estar rodeado de los suyos: atesoraba cada reunión familiar y se llenaba de orgullo con cada logro de sus seres queridos. Poseía un sentido del humor fino y discreto, acompañado de una mirada atenta que lo hacía inolvidable.
Le gustaba mantener su mente activa disfrutando de la lectura, armando rompecabezas, resolviendo acertijos de Sudoku y compartiendo partidas semanales de dominó con sus amigos. Ya fuera en medio del alboroto de la familia o durante un paseo tranquilo al aire libre, Alfredo tenía el don especial de encontrarle la belleza y la alegría a cada instante de la vida.

Mantienen vivo su hermoso recuerdo sus hijos, María Estela (Sergio) Lozano, María Cristina (José A. Jr.) Palacios y Verónica (José) Patiño; sus nietos, Carolina (Óscar O. II) López, Cristina Victoria Palacios, José Antonio Palacios III, Analí Elizabeth Palacios, Verónica Patiño y Jessica Patiño; su bisnieto, Óscar O. López III; su hermano, Guillermo (Irma) Villarreal; y sus cuñadas, Lydia Bremer y Mirthala Garza; así como sus sobrinos, amigos y seres queridos.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alfredo Villarreal, who departed this life on August 7, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on January 7, 1934, Alfredo was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished friend.
Affectionately known as "Químico" or “Tito,” Alfredo was renowned for his gentle and kind heart. His quiet fortitude and love for his family were a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Throughout his life, Alfredo found his greatest joy in being surrounded by his family. He cherished every opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments, milestones, and special moments of his loved ones, feeling immense pride and happiness in all they achieved. His subtle sense of humor and keen, observant nature endeared him to those who knew him well. Alfredo enjoyed activities that kept his mind sharp, such as reading and solving Sudoku, but most especially enjoyed those he shared with great friends during weekly domino games. Whether surrounded by family and friends or outside enjoying a quiet stroll, Alfredo had a gift for finding joy in all of life’s moments.
Though he has departed from this world, Alfredo’s spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Villarreal and Maria Trinidad de la Garza Villarreal; his wife, Maria Estela Vela de Villarreal; and his siblings, Rebeca (Alfonso) Treviño, Antonio Villarreal, Maria Luisa Villarreal, Pablo (Myrthala) Villarreal, Jose Juan Villarreal, and Carlos Villarreal.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Maria Estela (Sergio) Lozano, Maria Cristina Palacios (Jose A.), and Veronica (Jose) Patiño; his grandchildren, Carolina (Oscar) Lopez, Cristina Victoria Palacios, Jose Antonio Palacios III, Anali Elizabeth Palacios, Veronica Patiño, and Jessica Patiño; his great-grandchild, Oscar López. III; his brother, Guillermo (Irma) Villarreal; and his sisters-in-law, Lydia Bremer and Mirthala Garza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday afternoon, August 14, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. Procession will be departing at 3:45 p.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 4 p.m.
A private cremation will be held at a later date.
