Adelfa "Fita" Perez Darnell

Adelfa P. Darnell, lovingly known as “Fita,” of Laredo, Texas, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was 105 years old, a remarkable milestone that reflected a life filled with resilience, warmth, and devotion to those she cherished.

Fita was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Darnell; her parents, San Juanita Guerra and Severano Perez; and her brothers and sisters, all of whom she now joins in eternal rest.

She was a beloved presence in both her family and community. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and enduring strength touched everyone who knew her. Her long and beautiful life leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and quiet grace—one that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

Fita is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, as well as her great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, all of whom will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday morning, December 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m.12:30 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, December 13, 2025, departing at 12:45 p.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Rite of Committal and Interment at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
