Adalberto Andres Campos

Adalberto Andres Campos passed away on July 18, 2026, at home from complications due to ALS. He was born in Houston, Texas, on October 20, 1994. He was raised in Laredo and was a graduate of United High School. He was an avid basketball player and enjoyed other sports as well. Andy, as he was known, was a loving young man to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Leticia Vela Campos; his sister, Adriana C. Dearth; and his aunt, Susana I. Vela; his uncle, Ceaser Vela; his maternal grandfather, Adalberto J. Vela; his maternal grandmother, Ingrid Flores Vela; and his great-grandparents, Juan M. and Elida R. Vela, and his maternal great grandparents: Felisa V. (Aureliano†) Flores.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Karina Campos; his uncles, Jose Luis Vela (Gabby) of Laredo and Juan M. Vela (Linda) of Zapata; his aunts, Felisa G. Eveland (Dennis†), Maria Lydia (Eduardo) Saldivar, and Lydia Sanchez; his cousins, Jose Luis Vela Jr., (Eva) of Mission, Texas, Melissa Analy Ganji (Joseph) of Houston, Alejandro A. Vela, Adalberto Juan (AJ) Vela, Gizela (Johan) Peña, Kristina Vela, Roberto Vela, William O. Eveland, Tamara Eveland, Venessa Cantrell, Christopher Saldivar, Stephen Saldivar, Cristian Saldivar, Brian Ortega, and other numerous cousins, and his girlfriend of 7 years, Alli Castillo.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday evening, August 1, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd, where a Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
